Do I have to come to the office?
The great thing about technology is that we now have the ability to video conference. Applications such as Zoom, Go to Meeting, Face Time, and Skype allow us to see and hear someone from anywhere that has internet connectivity. We can use any of these applications so that your session can be done right from the comfort of your home regardless of your location. Of course for those who prefer, we have an office and welcome the opportunity to offer you support in-office.
What is grief coaching & how is it different than therapy?
Therapy often looks in the past to help you understand how you arrived at your present situation in life. Grief work is somewhat different, with grief you are working through an experience. The goal of grief coaching is to walk you through the experience. The coach is a guide who is a trained professional to help you understand the process of grief. We all understand that cost factor is an issue for most of us. Blue Ridge Hope is a nonprofit that was create to serve all people regardless of their ability to pay. Blue Ridge Hope does not file or corporate with health coverage plans, we have a sliding scale fee based on individual ability. Feel free to use the Contact us link to inquire about you options in service. Our office is in Forest City, NC. We seek to serve the client regardless of their location, so we also offer FaceTime, Skype, or phone call sessions to those who are not located near our office, yet would benefit from our services. Each session will last between 30- 40 minutes. Deciding if someone is right to help you attain your goals in terms of grief/loss is important. This is why we offer a complimentary Skype, FaceTime, or phone call for up to 10-15 minutes. This will allow the grief coach to assess your needs and for you to decide if this is the best choice for you. During this complimentary consultation the coach will inform you as what to expect. This will also be a time for you to ask questions that are important for you. Whenever possible we strongly encourage face-to-face or the use of teleconfrencing through Skype or FaceTime for this consultation because the personal interaction is at a deeper level. If this is not an option then traditional phone consultation will be available.
