6 Ways to Clean Up Your Eating

We often hear that we need to "eat clean." But what does that mean? Do you know how to eat clean? Here are 6 tips to get you started.

  1. Make your own salad dressing. Dressing that you buy at the store is processed and often has some yucky ingredients; including high fructose corn syrup. Here is a recipe for a Healthy Ranch or Greek/Italian that I really like.

  2. Stop drinking soda, even diet. Drink water!! Water is a huge help with weight-loss so add fruits if that helps. Also green tea or herbal tea is great.

  3. Use extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil when cooking. Avoid vegetable, canola, soybean oils, etc.

  4. Cook at home (during this time of COVID-19 it's the perfect time!)

  5. Eat whole foods. Meaning if it comes in a package, a bag, or a box - it is processed, and you probably shouldn't be eating it. Swap it out for fresh fruits and vegetables.

  6. If you eat meat, particularly beef, stick with grass-fed beef or organic.
