Hannah Neitzey

MSW, LCSWA, LCAS

Hannah grew up in the mountains of North Central Idaho in a small rural community. She finished her undergraduate degree in Health and Human Services at Baylor University in 2015 and went on to study at Duke University’s Divinity School. She graduated with a Master of Theological Studies in 2018 after a transformational summer internship in Asheville, NC at Haywood Street Congregation. Following the internship she was hired at Haywood Street Congregation as support staff. In her time there she witnessed the barriers to mental health care that folks experiencing homelessness, addiction, economic and relational poverty face. This opportunity at Haywood Street launched Hannah into her career as a Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Addiction Specialist. Hannah Graduated with her MSW from East Tennessee State University in May of 2023 and became provisionally licensed as an LCSWA in August of 2023 when she began working as a clinical Social worker at the VA Medical Center in Asheville. Hannah is committed to meeting clients wherever they are in their mental health journey while addressing psychosocial barriers impacting the client's holistic well being. Utilizing the Trauma Resiliency Model as a primary lens, Hannah incorporates appropriate evidence based modalities like CBT, and DBT based on the needs of the individual client.
