She is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors and licensed in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA). Amy employs an eclectic counseling style that is flexible to each client’s needs. Her integrative counseling approach has a positive orientation that focuses on the present and future more than the past, solutions more than problems, and each individual’s strengths rather than weaknesses. Depending upon the individual client, this integrative approach may include one or more of the following methods: cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness techniques, existential therapy, and/or expressive arts therapy. Amy is a believer in the power of love, hope, acceptance, community, and holistic approaches to well-being.
Joey grew up in a small rural town in the mountains of western NC, graduated from Warren Wilson College with a bachelor's degree in social work, then received a Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina (Columbia). He began his career as a social worker in a local social services agency before moving into the medical field where he worked various stints as a hospice social worker, supervisor, and manager for 27 years. Joey has since developed a passion for psychotherapy and enjoys working in mental health.
Jerry has worked with adolescents and adults with mental health and substance use disorders and has been awarded a commendation from NC Department of Public Safety for his work and was awarded Recovery Ally of the Year. Jerry primarily endorses a cognitive behavioral approach. Jerry presents at regional and state conferences, and frequently speaks at events on co-occurring disorders treatment and recovery.
Jerry believes that recovery is possible for individuals, families, and communities.
Her pursuit to help others started as an undergrad at the University of Arizona, where she graduated from the College of Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Spanish. In 2015 she earned a Master of Science as a Physician Assistant from South University in Savannah, GA. She became trained in PRT in March 2022 and became a Level 1 IFS Practitioner in January 2023. While she enjoyed living in the Lowcountry, she deeply connected with the mountains and with nature. She is bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English, and looks forward to serving Spanish-speaking patients.
In her free moments, Faith enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors, including hiking to waterfalls around Western North Carolina. When she can be caught indoors, she enjoys a good read, especially historical fiction, and spending time with her dogs Luna, Boomer, and Hazel.
Lynette works with clients to develop personalized treatment plans to meet their individual needs and goals through a variety of counseling modalities, including, but not limited to: Motivational Interviewing, Client Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. Lynette works with all populations and ages providing individual, small group, and family sessions. Lynette’s focus is addressing grief, depression, anxiety, stress management, career planning, and social skills training.
Her interests have led her to focus on a holistic healing path of clarity, calmness, health, and well-being. Karin’s love for God and the constant pursuit of learning more about Him, shows in her desire to help and serve others to achieve a fulfilling life EVEN when you live life to the fullest. Karin works with children, adolescents, and adults who experience a variety of life’s challenges, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, addiction, and relationship issues. Her theoretical emphasis is person-centered, and she utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities to best fit the unique needs of her clients, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, play therapy, and motivational interviewing.
